For the tenth year running, the City of Paris has issued a call for submissions for the Innovation Awards. This competition organized by the Paris Region Innovation Lab, competes for € 75 000 worth of prizes and positions in the city’s business incubators. It awards 5 young innovative companies in Industrial design, Eco-Innovations, Digital Solutions, Health & Biotechnology, Innovative Services fields.

The call for submissions is open to all companies under five years old established in Paris or the Greater Paris region, on www.paris.fr and www.innovation-paris.fr websites. The applications should be completed online before 11th July .

The selection committee, made up of prominent representatives of the economic and scientific communities, will review submissions and select the 25 nominees, followed by the five winners.

The ceremony will take place at Palais Brongniart, on 1 December 2011, and will bring together the community of researchers and entrepreneurs as well as the main players involved in start-ups

"The Innovation Grand Awards event is a unique chance for start-ups to be given major exposure, for partner groups to take action for open innovation, and for the entire innovation business ecosystem to celebrate those who help develop the economic fabric of Paris," said Jean-Louis Missika, deputy Head of Innovation, Research and Universities.
